Game Plan Canada

Subsidized Mental Health Support for all AAP carded athletes (including up to 2 years following retirement/loss of carding), coaches, and sport organizations. Game Plan-eligible athletes have access of up to $2,500 in funding for mental health services with clinicians (such as Kendra!) who are members of Game Plan’s Mental Health Network or the Canadian Centre for Mental Health and Sport.

  • Get confidential support from a practitioner in your province who understands mental health in a sport setting. Email mentalhealth@mygameplan.ca to set up an appointment with one of Game Plan’s MHN practitioners in your area.

  • AAP carded athletes have immediate access to counselling provided by LifeWorks. Support is available 24/7, 365 days/year.

National Eating Disorder Information Centre (NEDIC)

NEDIC is a bridge between community and care for people affected by eating disorders in Canada. They offer information, resources, referrals and support through their toll-free helpline and live chat platform, and serve individuals living with an eating disorder as well as the people who care for them, from family members and friends to healthcare providers. NEDIC’s outreach and education programming focuses on the awareness and prevention of eating disorders, and are available online across Canada and in-person in the Greater Toronto Area.

Available to any and all victims or witnesses of abuse, harassment or discrimination in a sport environment.
